DETROIT, July 25, 2025 – Mike Duggan’s Independent campaign for governor started the year with just $58,000 in its campaign account. In just six months, the campaign has raised more than $3.2 million and has more than $2.3 million on hand.
“As an Independent campaign, we can’t rely on party infrastructure for our fundraising. We had to build everything from the ground up,” said Ed Duggan, campaign manager for Mike Duggan for Governor. “Our numbers are a sign of the incredible grassroots energy we’re feeling on the campaign trail. We couldn’t be more grateful for all our supporters who made this possible.”
More than 93% of all Duggan’s donors came from Michigan.
“We are feeling the momentum,” said Ed Duggan. “We raised almost $1.4 million of our total just in the past 30 days. We’re building a foundation that will allow us to compete in every county in the state come November 2026.”
Duggan’s independent coalition is growing fast. There is no doubt that Michigan is with Duggan and the momentum is growing. Already, more than 160 pastors, eight unions representing 25,000 workers across Michigan and the state’s largest chamber of commerce have endorsed Duggan for Michigan’s next governor. The volume of endorsements, more than a year ahead of the gubernatorial election, is unprecedented.
Mike Duggan has a message to meet the moment and a record that resonates with voters.
