Macomb County — Mike Duggan has held the mic for a long time and now, he is putting it in the hands of Michiganders. Officially known as “Mike Drops”, Mike Duggan is traveling across Michigan asking residents one question: What do you want from your next governor?
The goal of these sessions is to give Michiganders the chance to be heard and share what matters to them the most. These are about conversation, listening to people and gathering real input that informs solutions for the growth opportunities facing Michigan communities. Mike Duggan is listening to the people who know their communities best and understand the challenges and opportunities they face every day.
At the inaugural Mike Drop event in Macomb County, Duggan engaged with over 600 residents from Warren, Armada and New Baltimore. During this visit, he heard local young adults express concerns about education and listened to entrepreneurs discuss the shortage of resources for Michigan’s makers and innovators. Across these communities, one message emerged loud and clear: residents are ready for an independent governor who can rise above partisan politics and deliver real results.
Their ideas and experiences gave Mike valuable insights that will guide efforts to build a Michigan that works for everyone. He is looking forward to having more meaningful conversations across Michigan.
